Will-Serve Applications: Building Permits
To receive a Will-Serve Letter from Cayucos Sanitary District ("CSD") in association with your building permit, please provide all requested information in each of the following 4 sections.
Current processing time for Will-Serve Applications:
- For properties with no sewer easement: 1 week or less
- For properties with a sewer easement: Approximately 4 weeks (requires Engineer review)
The following must be included within the plans you submit; please ensure your plans are complete before submitting:
- Floor plan for each floor
- Exterior elevations, including the elevation of the lowest plumbing fixture
- Grading plan (site plan)
- Drainage plan
- Foundation plan
SEWER EASEMENTS: If a Cayucos Sanitary District sewer easement exists on the property, additional requirements apply (we will not issue a Will-Serve Letter if these details are missing):
- The CSD easement must be located and clearly identified and labeled on a plan view and a profile view
- The footprint of all structures and appurtenances adjacent to the easement must be shown on the profile view
- The "zone of influence" for potential excavation of the CSD easement must be clearly identified and labeled on the profile view
WARNING - SEWER EASEMENT RESTRICTIONS:
- Encroachments (aerial or surface) into or upon sewer easements, including but not limited to eaves, decks, flooring, fences, and drainage facilities, are strictly prohibited without formal CSD approval
- Drainage structures that direct to or create ponding or leaching of water into soils that cover CSD easements are strictly prohibited
