This service is for property owners and managers only. A tenant is not authorized to place a Cayucos Sanitary District bill into their own name.  

At a property owner or manager's request, Cayucos Sanitary District may temporarily place a property's monthly sewer bill into the name of a tenant or other designated party. To authorize this change, the property owner or manager must complete and submit the form below. 

A staff member will review your request, contact you to discuss the outstanding balance on the account, if applicable, and will provide confirmation if your request is granted.

Cayucos Sanitary District ("CSD") sewer charges are assessed/attached to the property. It is not possible to obligate anyone other than the current legal owner of the property to pay sewer charges. If CSD temporarily places a bill into a tenant's name, it is done as a courtesy only and does not relieve the property owner of responsibility for the charges.

CSD is legally required to continue to provide service to all existing customers, even when payments become delinquent. Because CSD has no means to enforce timely payment from any customer, CSD does not monitor customer account balances or send delinquency notices to property owners/managers when a tenant's account becomes delinquent.

When CSD receives notice that a tenant has vacated the property, the entire outstanding balance on the tenant's account (including all late fees that have been assessed) is transferred to the property owner's account the same business day.

Late fees will not be waived for the property owner simply because they were unaware that late fees were being assessed while their bill was in a tenant's name.

CSD reserves the right to exclusively bill the property owner at any time, for any reason, including but not limited to untimely tenant payments.
