The Central Coast is more than just a place to Mr. Smith – it's home.  Though his childhood included a brief stint in the Sierra Foothills, he returned to the coast as an adult and has devoted his career to protecting its precious water resources.  With nearly 20 years in water treatment, he brings a passion for his work and an intimate knowledge of the challenges facing the coastal communities of San Luis Obispo County.  He even spearheaded the management of one of California's first indirect potable reuse facilities, demonstrating his commitment to a sustainable future for the region he loves.
